VR Garage

This project lets a user import a model from VRed and visualise it in VR as well as recording and visualising a users interaction with the model using Volumetric Recordings.

Volumetric

Two azure Kinects were used to create volumetric recordings of the users physical body while in VR.
The volumetric data was parsed in real time using Compute Shaders and stored in Render Textures which could then be manipulated in Unity’s VFX Shader Graph by an Artist.

To get the Azure Kinects positions we used Vive trackers mounted to the cameras.

VR

All VR interactions were built using Steam VR. The User could:
- Slice the model along multiple axis
- Measure the model in VR then export the measurements back to VRed.
- Grab and moved different elements of the model.
